Egbert Dijkstra is married (Julie) with three sons (Ryan, Ben, and Kyle). He attended Lauwers High School in the Netherlands and later received a Bachelor of Social Work from Windesheim University, which is also in the Netherlands.
He is currently the director of Elkhart County 911. Egbert became the boys' varsity assistant coach in 1996. Without a doubt, his most memorable moment was winning the 2006 Boys Soccer Sectional.
