In the fall of 1981, Stephen Phillips took over the position of Drama Director at NorthWood High School from a former teacher, Sherry Hoover. Since that time, he has directed more then 70 plays and musicals in the NorthWood Auditorium and as Auditorium Director, has produced countless other shows for the NorthWood community. Steve is a founding member of Pyramid Productions, a not for profit theatre group which takes original music and dance into nursing homes, retirement centers and children's hospitals throughout Indiana and the eastern United States. He also sits on the Board of Directors and is a founding member of Playhouse Productions which specializes in mystery dinner theatre in the northern Indiana area. Steve is employed as a store manager for Jenkins Automotive in Nappanee and serves as the music director for the Nappanee United Methodist Church. Steve and his wife Joanna Guckenberger live in Nappanee with their son Tyler.
