Media Center Rules

Hours:

Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Friday 7:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

 

Check Out Policy:

Students may check out their books for four weeks at a time. Items needed for research may be renewed for four additional weeks provided the item isn’t on hold for another patron.

 

Overnight Policy:

Reference books and items on special reserve.  Overnight materials should be checked out after 3:00 p.m. and returned before 8:00 a.m. the next day.  For students in good standing, reference materials may be checked out over the weekend.

 

Number of items:

Students may have up to 8 items checked out at a time.

NWHS staff members only:

Print materials are checked out for the entire year.  However, if the item is requested, the media center staff may request that the item be returned for that patron’s use.

 

Overdue Policy:

Students are encouraged to renew their materials before their due date if they need them for more than four weeks.

 

Late fine: 

Students will be charged $0.10 for each overdue date per book. Any student with overdue materials or late fines will be unable to check out materials until back in good standing.  Overdue notices are sent out every 6 weeks.  Fall schedules may not be released if the student has outstanding fines or overdue material at the end of the grading period.

 

Lost or damaged materials:

Students are responsible for paying the replacement cost of any lost or damaged materials.
